Supply chains, networks or clusters of companies provide a focus for investment, development and collaboration.  Clusters of businesses and new (and old) technology become matters of national importance and competitiveness as suppliers to and customers of each other.

Some of our Economic Development Sector Clients include:

We have used supply chain mapping techniques at a national, regional and local level to identify the capability and capacity of different clusters and their economic impact.  This includes a national aerospace and defence cluster, a regional maritime cluster and a local aerospace cluster.  This approach quantifies the economic potential of a cluster and can help identify trading opportunities within and between clusters.  In many cases the cluster can be geographic only and the selling and buying potential is sub optimal.  Other opportunities include attracting investment, collaborative initiative to share infrastructure and resources and develop collaborative business models and new products based on complementary skills and resources.
